Over time, the"Mother of the Bride" has been surrounded by many misconceptions and misunderstandings which have even put her in a different light as to what she actually does ...
Inaddition, the fact is that her role has fundamentally changed over the years due to women now being more financially independent, pursuing homes, careers and businesses of their own and being generally older at the time of marriage …
The Mother of The Bride
is not the decision maker neither does she override the groom, her main responsibility is to be a supportive element in the bride’s life during this time, to ensure that the bride’s wishes are carried out in the way she would like for her wedding.
However there are situations when a bride may leave the entire planning to her Mother but this is purely a matter of convenience or personal taste. Either way her role is vital, as the reliable, devoted person who will see that everything runs smoothly.
