Turn your thoughts into reality and add completion to your look ...
To place a tiara or headpiece on your head is the finishing touch to even the most simple of gowns. No bride quite looks whole until she has a headpiece, however simple, even if it is a flower.
A tiara has to compliment a lot more than just your dress. Other aspects need to be taken into consideration for the successful creation of the look as a whole. Consider the shape of your face, the colour of your hair, the length and style of your hair, complimenting jewellery and whether or not you choose to wear a veil among other things.
Headpieces fall into different categories ... |
|
BASIC TIARA STYLES
Classic Crown
Princess style elegance, worn on top of the head, with a regal look and feel. A veil can be worn but is usually in place behind the tiara at the back. However, a very striking spot is to have the veil cascading directly from the middle of the crown. Enlist the help of an assistant when trying, to ensure the correct position for your head. |

Front Mounted
This section includes “Juliet”, “Regal” and “Royalty” styles. True to its name, worn to the front of your hairstyle and secured with attached combs or external pins.
The veil is worn to the back of the tiara. |

Back piece and Combs
These stylesallow for attention to be focused more on other parts of your attire as opposed to your headpiece; simpler in the fact that they ornate the back of the head.
Highly suitable for the less elaborate wedding. You can add a veil with this style.

Bun Wrap
A complete circlet made with the sole purpose of forming a ring around an updo bun. Very chic and elegant, usually worn with a veil attached to the back, directly under the bun wrap.
Enlist the help of an assistant as this style should fit close to the hair.

|
V Band
A characteristic Downward feature, worn directly to the front of the face complimenting the forehead.
The style is usually dressed with a veil to the back but looks equally good for brides who choose to go without a veil.

Alice Band
A simple but very versatile style as it can be worn in so many ways (both upright or front mounted) and by so many people apart from the bride. A suitable accessory for a flower girl, the hair band can be worn with hair up or down and flowing, compliments long or short hair and leaves you open to suggestions for veil options. Alice bands can be double or single.

|
Wreath
A complete circlet which is larger than the bun wrap , worn directly on top of the head or tilted to the back.
Traditionally consisting of flowers either natural or silk, this style can be worn by other members of the bridal party including and very often, the flower girl.
