The Groom's Shower

GROOMS SHOWERS are a growing trend in the wedding industry.  Similar in fashion to bridal showers, they have become the newest craze. 

Traditionally, the wedding planning is the bride’s responsibility but as the groom becomes more and more involved with the organisation; it is a great way for his friends to reward him.

A groom's shower isn't the same as a bachelor party; it usually coincides with the bridal shower. 

For most men it is a warm-up to the bachelor party.

The term "shower" might be to some men a bit unmanly and the host can rename it as a little get-together or hosting a sports theme, hobby theme, etc.  

It should be a bonding experience among the male members of the wedding party, co-workers and male family members from both sides.

Most important - make sure the groom is happy with the idea of a groom's shower.
  • Decide if it is a surprise shower
  • Choose the date to correspond with the bridal shower.
  • Decide on the venue.
