A frozen moment in time, captured to enjoy by friends, family and each other for a very long time. Relive the joy, the sentiments, the coming together of loved ones.
For a lasting, treasured instant such as this; it is highly important to consider the use of a professional photographer.
Often do-it-yourself proves to be more costly in the long run and the results might not be acceptable. A professional will be able to offer advice, they are trained in the strategic points of interest which makes a good photo, can adjust lighting to accommodate changes in weather, different complexions , indoor or outdoor use and much more.
In addition, a professional makes sure they have all the equipment for the job (often even a spare camera) to accommodate for occurrences, breakdowns, battery power loss etc.

While we recommend a professional photographer we fully understand that the services do not come cheap. However when you weigh the cost of a one time ‘good job’ as opposed to disappointing pictures and dressing again to re-shoot, the service outweighs the cost of an amateurish mistake. Additionally most professional photographers offer attractive package rates with tiered pricing from which you can choose and decide before making a commitment. Make sure the price suits you before hand and that the package is satisfactory.
Please note: It is highly important to book your photographer early to secure his or her services and save disappointment, as good photographers tend to be very busy. |
The most lasting tribute to your wedding day is your photos; they are an enduring keepsake to commemorate a time which deserves to be cherished.
A professional has ‘the eye” and will know what makes a good or interesting shot but do not be shy to put in a few suggestions of your own; be creative and spontaneous … Remember, this is your day.
- Take pre and after wedding photos … for example in the brides room, sitting in front of the mirror, the hanging dress, the fully dressed bride standing in the brides room, a pre wedding photo of the bride and father or father giver.
- Record the location, the empty church, reception area and grounds.
- Record secluded moments, in the limousine or car, just before greeting the guests.
- Enjoy and make full use of the landscape, flora, skies and other natural characteristics.
- Experiment with different finishes ... Black & White or Sepia tone both give an interesting edge to photographs.
