Select a length for your " Dream Gown"
...
browse the samples below to see the
various options you have for your
style of wedding.

SHORTER GOWN LENGTHS

STREET
This length just touches the knees.
TEA
Can fall anywhere between the knees and the ankle.
BALLET
Falls gently to and brushes the ankle.

There are many occasions when a shorter gown would be considered for use, or even more approprate . Instances such as civil weddings, beach or forest locations come to mind.

However this does not mean that you are in any way sacrificing; with the right accessories and a style which compliments your body, you can still be every bit a dream bride. Of course you can still choose to wear longer gowns for location settings if that is your desire, just remember to watch your footwear, especially for the beach or other destination surfaces.

LONGER GOWNS AND TRAINS

FLOOR
Length which gently contacts the floor symmetrically.

HI-LOW or Intermission
Features two lengths, one longer at the back than at the front.

WATTEAU
A shoulder train which descends to the hemline of the gown or further.

SWEEP
Also called a DUSTER, this train extends just a few inches from the end of the dress

CHAPEL
Falls three to five feet from the waist, for a full train feel but with manageability.

CATHEDRAL
Falls six to eight feet from the waistline. Often these gowns have a removable option.
ROYAL

Also called a MONARCH train or ROYAL CATHEDRAL. Reminiscent of Royalty and Princess glamour , this train can extend 9, 10 feet or more from the waist.

Generally reserved for very formal weddings and church services.

Choose this style only if your ceremony affords and you have attendants. If you dream of fairytale chic but feel the train may be unmanageable, you can always opt for a Chapel or Cathedral instead.
