The important factor which must be maintained when contemplating your wedding
apparel is the type of ceremony. 

Like the bride, the style and theme must be taken into account to make sure you have it correct.  A dress pants with side satin seam panels would be completely inappropriate for a beach wedding but very fitting for a full fairytale type ceremony.

TUXEDO
A tuxedo is extremely elegant and highly suitable for church or the more elaborate outdoor weddings but unsuitable for beach or casual ceremony. 

Accessorise with a choice of silk or satin ties, bowties and cummerbunds or vests, which are available in a variety of colours, textures and fabrics including brocade. Set off with elegantly fashioned cufflinks and studs.
DINNER JACKET
A similar alternative is the dinner jacket, be adventurous and choose white for an outstanding, very tropical look which also happens to be very cool, an important factor for our Barbadian warm days.
SUIT
A well cut and tailored suit teamed with a coordinating shirt and tie is a fabulous look which is readily acceptable and suitable as a good mid- level alternative for almost any ceremony.  Choose your colour according to the theme of your wedding and what your bride will be wearing, then follow it through with your groomsmen so that they compliment you.

However the tie and jacket may be a little uncomfortable for a beach wedding, for which you can choose to explore other alternatives.

 
TUXEDO STYLE

... Complimented with a rich red cummerbund and matching bowtie.

This is an excellent look for a full formal wedding.

CASUAL LOOKS
 

Select your choice according to exactly how casual the wedding is.

A cool white pants and shirt would be an excellent choice for a beach wedding, in addition to other light, natural colours like taupe, khaki, cream. 

The really adventurous can consider island themed clothing like Caftans. You could keep it in white and pale shades or even consider infusing a little colour into your attire, in the form of tasteful patterns, to compliment elements of your bride like her bouquet.

Coordinate with stylish sandals or even go barefoot for the “Castaway”, "Carefree" beach theme wedding. 

A jacket of fine fabric, blazer or lightweight tailored linen suit, is an elegant alternative for a more up-market outdoor casual wedding. You can team with well-chosen accessories or choose to forego the tie to keep it elegant with a touch of downplay.
