Martin's Winning Runners - Up Composition
My fiancé and I are two young hard working individuals and we have been saving and planning for our dream wedding for two years now.
But it has not been as easy as we thought because it is very costly to have the kind of wedding we would like. With the increasing cost of living it has become increasingly difficult for us to maintain our home and save for our wedding and it looks more impossible for us to have our dream wedding.
I have purchased the engagement ring & my band and I'm in the process of acquiring her wedding band so we definitely want to get married this year even though it may not be the dream wedding we planned.
This is why winning this Barbados wedding would be a dream come true for us.
I can envision a sunny blue Caribbean sky and a beautiful white sand beach under our feet in the beautiful island of Barbados, as we finally solidify our love and commitment to each other in the way that she deserves.
This is why, in my humble opinion, I think We deserve to win a Wedding and Honeymoon in beautiful Barbados.
Miranda's Winning Runners - Up Composition
My life has not always been easy, great or enjoyable, but on February 17, 2006 God rewarded me for my faith and eternal hope that one day I would know and feel unconditional love. I met Michael, he is courteous, handsome and that smile.
We spent three months becoming best friends and were falling in love.
Then, on June 14, 2006 my heart shattered when a stranger called me and told me that Michael was in a motorcycle accident.
After 45 tearful, lonely minutes I was taken back to his trauma room, and in that moment I knew that I could not be without him. Michael makes the everyday seem like a fairy tale.
And, I thought I wanted that big, over the top wedding, but it's not about having the right flowers, or the best food, and it’s not about pleasing people. It's about our love and us; we want a wedding that is full of love and beauty.
So, please consider turning my tears of wedding frustration into more tears of overwhelming joy and gratefulness.
I'm grateful for Michael, our love and our friendship.
