Once the ceremony has ended and the wedding is officially over, you need to secure your marriage certificate. The officiator who performed the ceremony will report the information (stated in the book) with the official Registry who will see that it is recorded. At any time after that recording, you can apply for your certificate. There is a fee involved plus some days waiting period before your certificate is available.

In the case of overseas couples, arrangements can be made with the Registry, for your certificate to be dispatched to your address of origin.
Please note: If circumstances mean that you leave Barbados before the recording of your marriage, it is a straightforward process to obtain your certificate.
