FORMAL WEDDING

Classic Cinderella type dream wedding.  A black tie affair, glamorous, sophisticated and expensive.  However if you can afford it, the memories are priceless.  This type of wedding requires a fair amount of planning to create the naturally magical ambiance which will accompany it.  These are usually afternoon to evening affairs and almost always held in church.  Think expensive limos, fairytale dress, lavish cake, large guest list.

CASUAL WEDDING

Sometimes held in a garden setting, on a cruise or other but always simpler and intimate.  Less extravagance requires a lot less organisation, in addition to being very affordable.  You can be very adventurous with your theme making it possible to include several of the things that you both enjoy and love.  You can add a touch of history or culture.  Think less flamboyant, smaller guest list.  In addition, some venues offer economical packages for these types of weddings.

BEACH WEDDING

For the free-spirited couple who want to be at one with nature on their special day.  In a sense this too can be seen as casual but has been known to be fairly spectacular as they are usually conducted at sunrise or sunset , in addition to amazing beach decor.

REGISTRY WEDDING

In Barbados this is conducted by a magistrate, a very quick and cost effective wedding which only requires official fees.  However, you could always arrange a reception for family and friends afterwards.
