Groom's Personal Appearance
Following these tips will ensure that you get to shine in the tropical Island:
HAIR
You can have a great outfit for the wedding but the look can be ruined with a bad haircut or hairstyle.  It’s one of the first things people notice about you.
If you decide on a change of hairstyle for your tropical wedding you should try it out about two months before the date. Many grooms may opt for their regular hairstyle, if so, have a professional trim at a barbershop or salon and tidy up at the back and sides.  A good haircut and style shows you have put some effort into your personal appearance.
Men with greying hair look distinguished but you can shave years off your appearance by dyeing your hair at a salon.
Another tip is to keep your hair short if you are balding.  It is better than the hair comb-over look blowing in the wind.

MANICURE & PEDICURE
SPARKLING SMILE
Well-kept hands as well as feet should be a part of a man’s grooming habits. There is nothing worse than dirty fingernails or hands on a groom. Moisturize your hands regularly as all eyes and cameras will be focussed on your hands and the wedding band.

It wouldn’t hurt to get a professional manicure and pedicure before the wedding as you just might be walking barefoot on a sandy beach with sea waves and a romantic sunset.
To have the perfect photographs, smile with confidence since a smile that sparkles is extremely important.  If your teeth are stained, ask your dentist about the best bleaching options for you.  Additionally, there are many at-home whitening products that can brighten up your smile quickly and relatively inexpensively also use whitening toothpaste for unsightly stains.
As you will be talking quite a lot at your wedding, use mouth-wash or breath spray, but not gum as this will not keep your breath fresh for long and it is not appealing to be chewing gum on that romantic day in Barbados.
SHAVING
Have a wet shave at a barbershop or salon rather than use an electric razor as this will give you a closer shave and is less irritating for the skin.  If you intend to be clean-shaven on your wedding day, shave the night before so if you do accidentally cut yourself, it will have time to heal.
Shaving goes more smoothly when using a glycerine or aloe-based shaving cream or gel as they soothe your skin and allows the razor to glide across your face.
For best results to avoid razor bumps, massage the cream or gel into your beard and, of course, always shave with the grain first, then if necessary, you can shave against it. Finish with a soothing aftershave balm or your daily moisturizer and stay away from alcohol-based after-shave products as they can irritate the skin in the warm Barbados climate.
It is also important to take care of those areas below the neck such as your chest. Most women do not like excessive hair on men so trim and shave where necessary or you can use permanent hair removal if you choose.
EXERCISE
If possible, start doing some exercising at a gym.  Some gyms offer specials for the happy couple so you may want to invite your partner.  It doesn't have to be strenuous, but if you exercise, you will not only look handsome and have a trimmer look on your wedding day but you will feel great too.  Exercise is also a good way to relieve some of the stress you may experience at this time.
THE NIGHT BEFORE
Have a light meal and an early night.  Try to relax, or better still, have a soak in the tub with some aromatherapy oils and soft music, they will help you sleep; otherwise you will look tired in your wedding photographs.
THE WEDDING DAY
If you have folowed all of the basic tips for groom's skin care, health and appearance, your wedding day look will be all that you imagined it would be.
